We ordered two bowls of noodles, and when asked about the size, the waitress was unclear. She then shouted at us when serving the bowls, causing confusion. Eventually, we asked another waiter for clarification on the ingredients. Overall, this was a simple issue, but the initial encounter left a bad impression. With many similar restaurants nearby, I would suggest exploring other options. The nearest alternative is located at Yonge/Weldrick (south-east corner).Entering this paragraph was not the best use of my time in this busy world.
This restaurant is amazing for Pho. I tried the shrimp satay pho and it was so comforting. The spring rolls were also delicious. It is a bit pricey, but it is always packed. The tables are a bit close together and they may ask you to share during peak hours, which can be a bit uncomfortable. Be sure to bring cash.
We waited a long time to be seated, but just as it was our turn, the restaurant informed us they were closing and asked us to leave.
I come here for a while and they served very good South Vietnamese noodles and rice dishes at very reasonable prices. It really surprises me to learn today when I came to lunch to find out that the restaurant has no more space...expectancy service on Tuesday to Friday, only on weekends. Just Tuesday to Friday. This is a great disappointment. Not so why the change.
It's been almost three years since I reviewed this place. Time to do an update. Sorry folks...it's a slide down. I've been coming here since they opened. Many people asked me about the place as I have been here dozens of time. Look...when a place...only opens 5.5hrs per day (11:30am to 2:30pm/5:30 to 8pm) and now only half that time on Sundays, they better be a Michelin Star restaurant. Pho ain't it ain't supposed t'be slow food either. AND...If you are in a rush, don't bother. than once have they run out of food while I was waiting and had to leave. than once have I been waiting for way too long and had to leave. than once have I had to sit while people bumped into my chair as they unhappily waited. The Pho broth is good. The rolls are fine. Their rice dishes are tasty but even a ardent fan can take too much. I have basically stopped going. That's too bad. I did like their cleanliness and though unfriendly ish, they are efficient with service. All in all...a single point slide but I will return when the place starts taking customer concerns more seriously.... Middle of the road take it or leave it. Right now...I'm leaving it. cheers...
