Feedback gevenLovely restaurant, with great food. We three had different main meals, and all delicious. Especially the lamb.
Monday 27th March. Wanted a nice meal before the theatre and Chose Cote Brasserie. On entering the welcome was kirt and shown to the table. We sat reading menu for some time , had decided and still waited for any interaction from staff. As time was ebbing away I called a member of staff and ordered both drinks and our meal. Drinks came and eventually the starters. Mushrooms on soggy toast. We ate and waited. Other diners who roughly ordered the same time as us were into their mains by this time. We waited until others had finished before I called a member of staff to explain why our food was taking so long, he promptly arrived with our food with no explanation just 2 plates of overcooked and very dry French cottage pie. Our drinks were at this time empty, no staff returned to ask if we wanted more or importantly was everything ok and would we like and condiments. We were loathed to complain as this would have upset our ongoing engagement, but couldn't help noticing staff were asking other diners if they wanted more drinks, and the couple next to us were asked if everything was ok could they leave a review. The staff knew their errors but moreso they knew the food was substandard which is why they avoided us. We grabbed a flying member of staff, ordered the bill paid and left. Dreadful experience.
Give Laimonas a raise. He was amazing at his job and very helpful and friendly. Richmond Côte brasserie is very nice because of this amazing man. Other than him, the place is nicely decorated, the service is great and the food, no matter what you order, will taste amazing. Laimonas is the best thing to even do with a restaurant ever. We had a table of 26 people and everyone was delighted by him.
We have been customers of Cote for almost 13 years, sadly we won’t be going back. The restaurant was half empty (Wednesday night) but the waiting staff still couldn’t cope. They are bunch of young charming people but that doesn’t hide their lack of knowledge or experience. They were running around like headless chickens…. Our main course was lukewarm, our dessert on the other hand was microwaved and boiling hot but the most worrying was my husband being ill on the way back home, and believe me he is not somebody who gets sick easily. Really not worth going back unless something is done to improve the standard of food or service.
We have lovely evening. But don't understand why you accept only card payment? Is there new law in this country?
