I didn 't see the price untill I looked at my banking app today. My wife grabbed the pints whilst I got a burger £9, big burger with trimmings was good 50p cheaper than a pint!! I will go chat to the manager this week as its unacceptable... we all get that stuffs more expensive but this is just classic 'rip off Britain ' They should be ashamed!!
Went to the pub on England rugby match days as we had in years gone by. Charging £9.50 a pint for most beers (food prices were also extortionate). No bar tariff to that effect on display which I believe is illegal. Also, spoke to a couple of locals who had only been charged normal cost so they were dual pricing (also illegal), they advised that all beers had been increased by £3 to £4 just for match day. The staff themselves were embarrassed blaming a recently appointed manager. Beers were actually cheaper in the ground. DO NOT GO THERE PAY THESE PRICES!!!
An absolute rip off charging £8 a pint on match day and the beer was rubbish...Needless to say this establishment will be taken off our visiting list . Shame on you greedy londoners.
The pub has put up it the prices to match the Twickenham Stadium and will provide only 1 plastic cup £6:50 a pint. This pub used to be our stop of point before Twickenham and the beer prices were pretty decent. They are now treating the Twickenham crowd as a cash cow, even posting that you cannot return your cup until 4:30, this was taken down quickly, as I expect people didn’t take kindly to it. Making it difficult to return you cup, milking even more money out of the punters. We visit Twickenham regularly and this will be our last visit to this pub, I’d rather go to the stadium as least you get a clean cup each time.
Lovely pub, hugely crowded after the Army Navy game, but somehow the staff cope. I'd like to pay a visit someday when there isn't a match on. My only observation is the toilets can't cope, but to be honest, when your the nearest pub to the ground you could have 50 stalls and they still wouldn't suffice.
