The French Tarte, Teddington

As someone who grew up in Paris, I have high standards when it comes to pastries. I am often disappointed when I try new places, but that was not the case at the French Tarte in Teddington yesterday. The Pear Almond tart was a classic and it exceeded my expectations; it was beautifully made, visually appealing, and delicious. I was skeptical about the Chocolate Tart as it appeared dense and unappealing, but I was pleasantly surprised. The first bite was an explosion of perfect chocolate flavor. The baguette was also excellent, with a nice crust and chewy interior. After 26 years in the UK, I have finally found a taste of home. Thank you!

This restaurant is always a great spot for coffee and delicious cakes. The almond croissants are amazing, and they make really good coffee. Although the staff used to be a bit moody, everything seems to be better now. Definitely worth a visit.

I have only had coffee from this branch of French Tarte. The coffee here is excellent, reasonably priced and the service is friendly.

We ordered a pear and almond tart and a piece of cranberry, fig and almond cake. Both looked enticing. They , however, were rather flavourless and very disappointing. We will not be buying cakes from this shop again.
