The service was efficient, with our food arriving promptly and the waitress being friendly. We decided to try the Scampi and Chips, but unfortunately, the dish was disappointing. It didn't look very appealing and the Scampi was undercooked. After speaking with the waitress, we were offered a replacement dish which was much better. Overall, the food was a letdown during this visit to The White Swan. However, I did enjoy a couple of glasses of wine and was able to toast to my Birthday.
We were searching for a pub by the river between Staines and Richmond to meet up with some old friends. After scouting out several options, we found this to be our favorite. The pub is beautifully decorated with flower baskets, the staff is friendly and courteous, the drinks are reasonably priced for a Twickenham pub in a prime location, and the food is of excellent quality and reasonably priced as well. The service was exceptional and the beers were well maintained, with the server knowledgeable about real ales. Overall, a real winner in every aspect.
Let me take you back in time and share a fascinating story about a mysterious man named Charles Bossom. In the 18th century, Charles lived in Twickenham and worked as a gardener, possibly in one of the grand estates like Copt Hill. Twickenham was a rural area, far from London, where the fashionable nobility owned land. Charles's parentage is uncertain, but it is believed that he was the illegitimate son of a woman named Mary Bossom. Family rumors suggest she may have been related to the Bossom clan of the boat.
A great place to see how the swans pass, as they go on a drink or three sip. far enough from the center twickenham not full of rugby fans on playing days, but close enough to be a cozy walk along the towpath. beautiful relaxing atmosphere, personal great and eating is also in order, although we only shared a few snack plates. they want to go back and try the roast. beautiful terrace on the stairs, but inside can be a bit dark.
This place is a hidden gem. the main taste of this place it is placed on the river banks and other ingredients are peace and rest. this place leads them to the quiet as soon as they get in. it is surrounded by green, which calms its eyes. you have to come here to experience everything yourself this place is also filled quite quickly on a weekday evening. crowd looks like people living in the neighbourhood. most people take only drinks that could be because eating is expensive. but eating was good, although it was expensive. we had ordered chicken cabab with pita brot. Chicken was cooked to perfection and beautifully marinated I would like to visit this place again if I am in london. The...read more
