Southwest Cafe - Ridgefield

Great food, delicious and fresh. They have good specialties and their chips and salsa are amazing.

I really tried to like this place. The people are nice, and the space has a cool, down-to-earth vibe. But I've been here three times and, each time, the food has been bland and underwhelming, particularly for the prices. Sad to take my business elsewhere.

We enjoyed a Delicious dinner here prior to attending a performance at the Ridgefield Playhouse. My shrimp tacos were fresh and flavorful and the Margaritas were perfect!

We wanted takeout for a family reunion. S.C. had a great takeout menu for groups, from which we ordered in mid-afternoon; it was ready for pickup at 6pm, and was nicely packed in containers which made it easy to keep food warm in a low oven. Since all of the family had spent most or much of their lives in Texas, we wondered whether they'd be satisfied with foods they could get in abundance at home. No need for worry! They declared that the salsa was better than the best they'd had at home, ever. Once that important issue was resolved, everything disappeared in a flash.

Nice atmosphere, a good lunch. The chili and corn bread was excellent. Also crispy chicken sandwich was unique. The chicken had a nice crunch without all the normal deep fried crust. Large and refreshing salads, this is a good stop off while visiting Ridgefield CT.
