The Lunch Lady - Ridgeland

We have had several great catering experiences with The Lunch Lady in 2023 and would highly recommend them. They were so well received at our latest function that we reserved a date with them on the spot for another event in late 2024 . Make sure to book with them early as their schedule fills up fast, especially around the holidays. The owners and staff are such a pleasure to work with and their food is amazing!

4.5 stars.... The Lunch Lady emits an inviting food aroma that goes straight to your stomach... If your tummy wasnt growling it will be by the time you make your order. Very definition of a hidden gem. On the way to HH for vacation we are all hungry so I check out food on the route. The Lunch Lady, 4.8 out of 5 stars with over 230 reviews as of this writing. I rarely see a score like that so, sold. The place is decorated in modern quirk and you have a blast finding all the funny signs everywhere and pointing out which ones apply to your party. Speaking of party we are a five top including two kids. Greeted warmly by the staff, seatedpromptly, four year old decides to be a jerk. You know, the usual. Our order ends up being: 1x cheeseburger with Mac and cheese side 2x lobster roll special with coleslaw and chips 2x kids mini corn dogs one with m&c one with applesauce 2xcup of tomato basil soup of the day Soup was so lovely. Bright with tomato acid, sweet with basil, creamy but with nice little chunks of tomato. So good. The burger is their normal menu leader. 8oz hand pattied with so much cheese itforms a skirt and the best part is they ask you what temp you want it. Music to my ears. Y 'all this thing was greasy and juicy in the best way possible, as all small place burgers should be. Let me tell you though, the lobster roll stolethe show. Maineish style (mayo) that was mixed perfectly so the flavor of the lobster wasn 't hidden by the sauce on a perfectly buttered and toasted roll. Simple, beachy, perfection. It 's a special so check the board outside to see if youcan get it. (You better get it) The sides are all made in house with the exception of the chips, and they are done well enough to be worth ordering on their own. M&C was slightly oily so you can tell they 're using real cheese, it couldhave came directly from your grandma 's Sunday table. Coleslaw was crisp, well dressed, creamy, and refreshingly cold. Chips were kettle style and crunchy, not stale at all. All the while we have two staff watching over us with smiles andcheerful dispositions, keeping drinks filled and making us feel completely at home. T

The staff is so friendly and the food is amazing! The shrimp croissa-tini was the best thing I ate all week! The lobster rolls are packed full of lobster. No filler. You really can?t go wrong with anything you order here.
