Feedback gevenWe visited Attisholz le feu at the recommendation of friends several years ago. At that time, we thought we experienced the best meal we had eaten in Switzerland, if not ever. We 've gone back several times over the years, but not for the last year...or two. While the subsequent meals were very good, they were not quite at our memory of our first visit. However, when we recently returned, we had a meal that rivalled our previous best . As we have only for the last year been reviewing restaurant on tripadvisor, we were looking forward to returning and sharing our thoughts on this fine restaurant. We 've eaten at many of the upscale restaurants in the region around Basel (see our other reviews in tripadvisor). So when we say that the meal is excellent, we hope that we have some credibility. Service: Wonderful. From the welcome at the beginning to the final farewell at the end of the meal. The advice provided on the food, the ingredients, and the wine was spot on. Vorspeisen/Appetizers: I had the Tuna with Avocado...it was wonderful, full stop. My wife had the ravioli with 5 g of truffle...it was delicious, but amazingly rich. It could have been the full meal. Hauptgaenge/Main course: I had the milk lamb, my wife had the Bison filet. It should be noted that the bison was what made us fall in love with the place several years ago...this time, it was equally wonderful. The Milchlammruecken was also wonderful. Regarding the wines...we had a wonderful tuscan wine. We were heading towards a typically expensive Super Tuscan, but the Sommelier steered us to a Gaja Ca ' Marcanda, Margari 2007, at half the price. It was simply delicious and paired well with both the bison and the lamb. We will seek this wine out and add this to our cellar. The prices at Attisholz are similar to those in the finer restaurants in the region, so be prepared. But quite honestly, we had another meal that rose to the best in switzerland , if not the best we have ever had. We already have plans to return.
We were in Solothurn and were invited in this great restaurant. As the weather was nice, we got a table in the garden. The chef and his wife are doing very well. Food and wine are excellent. Fumoir also very comfortable. If you make a...reservation, ask the table next to the picture from Reinhard Flury, simply wunderful !
