Palagio 59 - Rignano sull'arno

We stayed at the villa palagio at the side of the restaurant- what a perfect evening, shown to the wine cellar to select our choice followed by excellent fillet steak for €20, shame we had to leave

We were staying at the hotel and was drinking in our room Hey its Italy) and I was wanting something to at with our wine. We got steak Tar tar and molten lava cake. It was very yummy.

After a long day of sightseeing in Florence, we came back to our Villa Il Palagio apartment before going out for dinner. We had not noticed any restaurants that we cared to try in Rignano sull'Arno, so decided to go to the on-site restaurant, Palagio 59, and were glad that we had. The originality and quality of the cuisine was very good, the wines excellent, the service knowledgable, professional and proficient in English, and the price point fair and reasonable. This restaurant is worth searching out if you're staying in or near the village and their breakfast buffet was very nice as well.

Palagio is located in the hotel and since the apartments are self contained with kitchen facilities did not use the restaurant on a regular basis, did have breakfast every morning which was satisfactory, two dinners both were very tasty especially the risotto and pasta with truffle sauce was made to perfection, hats off to the chef. Staff service was professional. would definitely recommend a meal at this location. prices reasonable. Stayed here March 2- 22,2015

Food is great, although choices are limited. Great wines, price/performance is good. When we visited it, most of the crew had limited knowledge of English. Outside terrace is overlooking the parking lot, which could be improved. Also the chairs are not mentioned for long lasting, relaxing dinners outside.
