Located in the Best Western Hotel. Formerly Richard's family Restaurant, the new owners of Rimstome Family Dining are doing a very good job of pleasing their customers. The prices are very good and you get lots of food.

We were there tonight for the prime rib special. The meat was ample portion cooked to perfection, the homemade yorkshire pudding was delicious, the stuffed baked potato was hot and the peas were fresh. A picture would not do the meal justice. The staff were attentive and friendly, almost treated us like family. We even spent time talking with the chef/owner who is a lifetime resident of the area and very pleasant. They said they had been there about seven years. It is definitely time the word gets out so they will get busier. The slump in the oil production has hurt their business with fewer crews coming in. Richard's Family Restaurant, in the Best Western Hotel in Rimbey, could be one of the gems hiding in Central Alberta.

This is the replacement for Henry's Restaurant and we were very impressed with this newly opened restaurant. There are about 12 tables, so it is quite cozy. The waitress is kept quite busy as just about every table was full. The menu has a very good selection to choose from. We both decided on the Chicken Neptune, which came with soup. The soup of the day was Minestrone. It was very good, lots of flavor and unlike some watery variations, this had lots of meat and vegetables in it. There was a little bit of a wait for our meal, but not too bad. The chicken was excellent, even though it could have had more hollandaise sauce on it. I was surprised that the chef (Richard ??) came out to see how everybody's meal was. I gave the Black Forest Torte a try. Not the best I have ever had but from 1-10, I would give it an 8. Including our drinks our bill was $55.28, so very reasonable for a sit down meal.We will definitely go back for another meal. Good job guys.

I was shocked because there are not many tables in the restaurant, so it shouldn't have been a train wreck. our server was rude when I expressed my concern that it took us 2 hours to get our wraps. this time, not so much.
