We celebrate for several years the birthday of our son Lapo in the pleasant atmosphere of the Merendacolo. Angela always welcomes us in a wonderful way and with a conviviality difficult to find in the area, especially in the summer months. Antipasti di norcineria, two excellent and abounding first, mixed grill and go go go fries at an irrisorio price. It makes me smile who goes to trade small details in a context like this. It is as good as if you were in the hay of a family farm; we willingly leave from Cecina to spend an evening in an honest, sketchy environment of those who are not found more easily. Good Angela. Lapo will also gladly return to pamper the little Mia.
Dinner in two, the lady always very kind. First with tidal ravioloni al sugo di cnghiale and pappardelle with wild boar. Both delicious. Seondo del cnghiale in humid....the top would have been with polentina crumbled, Excellent red Tuscan wine unused, closed with a sublime baked cream combined with a limoncello. Price more than honest. Good evening.
Stay last night with group of friends to celebrate a birthday. I take all the fixed menu at 20€. Acceptable mixed Tuscan appetizers, quantity more than sufficient, variety of the poor proposal. The painful note comes with the first. Ravioli to the good ragù as type of pasta but with scarce and not tasty sauce. Same thing for the wild boar pappardelle, which of boar only had the name. too little sauce and tending to the salty. Of the typical flavor of the wild boar I didn't hear anything.. As a second we had a mixed grill of pork. Not bad even if sincerely I expected a presentation a little richer and more decisive as flavors and possible contours and condiments. in conclusion from other reviews read and from the same name of the club I expected much more. Price ratio however good.
We stayed with the family the other night. Three of us took the menu at 20,00 euro: Tuscan starter of the house: good crostini of wild boar so so so; ravioloni with ricotta and spinach seasoned with boar ragù and tagliatelle condite in the same way: excellent; mixed grilled of white meats plus good sausage. One took noodles to the boar ragù and wet boar: Good. Unique peels fries as a side dish of seconds: they knew of broth......... Great final crushed cream and homemade. Limoncello good did not have the usual taste of last lemon dishes offered by the restaurateur. Overall to return.
