After waiting for 50 minutes, my daughter received an undercooked burger, and my wife was served a raw potato. When she asked for a replacement, the waitress rudely slammed the potato on the table and told her to "go get your own potato." It was incredibly disrespectful. When the owner addressed our concerns, she was overly defensive about her staff’s poor behavior. I can't see this place lasting much longer; I wouldn't recommend going there.
The staff and owners were very rude during my visit. I understand they might be overworked, but so is everyone else. A little kindness can make a big difference; it could encourage people to recommend your restaurant instead of removing it from their list of go-to places to eat. The food was good, but the service left much to be desired.
A local recommended this spot to me and suggested visiting on Mondays for their All You Can Eat Jumbo Chicken Wings for just $10. It’s an amazing deal! I'm not quite sure how they manage to make a profit, probably just through beer sales, but the wings were fantastic and an incredible value (plus, they come with a generous basket of fries). They offer around 10 different sauces to choose from, and the service was excellent. Although it's tucked away in a rural area surrounded by cornfields, it's definitely worth a visit. They have a different daily deal each day, and I heard some customers can polish off up to 30 wings, as they keep serving until you're satisfied!
Every time we walk through the door, we’re greeted with a friendly smile from Cindy, the newest owner, or one of the welcoming bartenders. They may not remember our names (since we’re usually just summer weekend visitors), but they never forget our faces or our drink order—our Brandy Old Fashioneds are already being poured as we sit down! The food here is far from ordinary bar fare; the menu is diverse and the nightly specials—ranging from burgers to fish, chicken, and ribs—are absolutely delicious, incredibly affordable, and very satisfying. I can honestly say we've never had a bad meal or left feeling hungry! What makes Walker's truly special for us is the local, Cheers-like atmosphere. You can easily pull up a stool beside a stranger, have a sip of your cocktail, and within minutes, you’re sharing stories and laughing with a new friend. They might be locals or fellow weekenders from Chicago or Milwaukee, but in that moment, you feel like a regular at Walker’s! We’ve enjoyed everything from local gossip to legendary fishing tales while sitting around the bar, and they never grow old. If you bring the kids, don’t be surprised if Grandpa Harvey comes out to give them a big gumball or some quarters to play the video games (when he manages to escape the kitchen, that is—Cindy keeps him busy!). So, the next time you’re in Green Lake, make sure to stop by, pull up a stool, tell Cindy that Greg, Tim, and Ann sent you, and savor this Green Lake treasure! If you see us at the bar, feel free to buy us a drink—it’s not something we’ll usually turn down! Cheers to Walker’s!
I ordered the most disappointing BLT I've ever had. While it tasted alright, it featured just three tiny pieces of bacon, which were the smallest I've seen on any sandwich. For the price, I expected a hearty serving of bacon, and it was frustrating that it didn’t even come with French fries. I won’t be ordering that again.
