Rovira - Riudecanyes

Stopped for a break. Good coffee and white wine. Bravos sauce was very good with a hint of curry and very creamy. Jazz music playing in the background. Stayed for well over an hour discussing Jazz with the owner Jimmy. Interesting guy. Will go again.

This lovely cafe/bar is situated at the cross-road in Riudecanyes. The only vredible stop on the way to the Monastry of Escarbout in these wild parts. A levelled terrace shaded with trees and you have Stella beer and the 2-course menu del dias (12 euros) Welcoming and wholesome, the public free car park is just across the street. Don't expect gourmet food here but you will not leave feeling hungry. This tiny town is the remains of those who stayed on after the local hydro dam project finished. A good two hours drive from a road that has a passing place makes for real rural charm.

Un local molt ben situat a l'entrada del poble, amb una bona terrassa per passar les nits d'estiu. Serveixen varis tipus de begudes, des de més habituals, com cafè o cervesa fins a còctels més elaborats. A destacar les tapes (utilitzen productes locals), totes molt bones, com les patates braves i les aletes de pollastre. Pagament, per cert, en efectiu, no amb tarja. Molt bon ambient.

Buena zona, agradable, nada en especial con la oferta del local

Ohhh Jimmy quines bones sensacions hem experimentat al teu espai. La música ha entrat dins nostre i ens ha transformat...sent-ne tú el director artístic de l'experiència. Amb ganes de tornar i tastar àpats a l'ombra del pati de les gegantes que ens acaronen junt amb l'airet del poble de Riudecanyes. Fins aviat, que quasi és ara.
