Yum! this place was amazing! our first stop in malcesine, after checking into our hotel, was finding some grub. we had traveled via bus from verona, and were in need of lunch. close to our hotel (hotel venezia), was this little place. they had a spacious interior as well as a beautiful patio on the water--and we opted for a sunny meal. i got a light shrimp salad and my friend opted for the pizza. i wish i would have splurged and gotten it as well. it was very thin crust, not greasy at all, light on sauce and cheese, and overall delicious. some of the best pizza i 've ever had... the shrimp salad was alright as well. light and refreshing. this place had an extensive menu (everything you can think of). our server spoke english, and seemed very shocked to find out we were american. he oogled over it--saying you 've come a long way! . based off the german/dutch translations in the menu, we were beginning to realize that malcesine is a popular vacation destination for germans--not so much americans. perhaps it 's a bit too far off the beaten path? anywho. a yummy meal.

Der Empfang war nicht besonders herzlich sowie in Italien gewohnt ist. Als wir einen hinteren Platz bekamen, roch es sehr stark nach Chlor. Er hat gerade die Toilette mit Ca 5 Liter Danclor gereinigt und musste nun die Türen offen lassen zum lüften. Hab mir gedacht das fängt gut an...man kommt sich vor wie im Hallenbad und kalt wie am Nordpol. Aber er schloss dann gleich die Türen und der Geruch war weg. Ich traute mich wegen einer Chlorgasvergiftung nicht auf die Toilette. Zum Essen: als Vorspeise hatten wir Bruscetta..wir bekamen 4 Stück...waren sehr lecker.. Meine Freundin hatte die Pizza Cocktail mit Shrimps und einer sehr eckligen rosa Cocktailsauce oben..sehr fertig...da war meine Pizza mit Ruccola und Speck viel besser...und hat es geschmeckt und der Preis für Vorspeise, 2 Pizzas und 2 große Radler mit 30€ ist günstig
