West Wind Supper Club - River Falls

Had a bit of a disruptive day, and thought since it was just me I'd take the kids out to dinner for a midweek surprise. Couple of my first choices weren't open for dinner, so decided maybe we'd do Westwind since it was their pizza night. Front parking lot looked busy when we arrived, but inside had plenty of open tables and 1 large party. Service was a bit slow to get drinks and orders in around 6:30. However after ordering we were informed that our order was put in after the large party so it would be an hour for our food. At that point I didn't have that kind of time to wait, so I said they could cancel my order, and I was informed they'd talk to the manager. A few minutes later I was presented with the bill for 2 kids drinks and my drink (I thought maybe they wouldn't charge us the $7 for the inconvenience (poor service? . Silly me.I expected better service than that in a local smaller town restaurant, not sure why they couldn't fit in a couple of pizzas and a kids chicken tenders among the larger order sooner than an hour. I hardly even had time to drink my drink when i got the bill, but it took about another 10 minutes to pay the bill so I guess I had time to finish it and then go look for dinner elsewhere after being here for almost 30 minutes (Culver's to save the day, again .We only go here a couple of times a year- it eventually sounds like it's a good idea so we try it again, but it tends to be hit or miss, not consistent food wise, and now this bummer of an experience. Looking for good recommendations for family dinners in River Falls!

Four of us dined for supper. Our server, Taylor, was exceptional. Dishes we ordered included a blackened, seared Ahi tuna salad, prime rib, and scallops. All were prepared well. I recommend this restaurant!
