Placita Riverside

We often drive by this place in North Riverside and finally decided to try it out. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the character of the restaurant; it’s picturesque, cozy, and features a full bar. On Wednesday, I ordered Brussels sprouts, which were perfectly cooked and roasted. I’m on a diet but decided to give the green chicken enchiladas a shot. While they weren't as spicy as my wife's, they were still delicious, and the beans and rice were authentically prepared. The service was excellent as well. I’m looking forward to going back for brunch!

My date and I were immediately taken in by the vibrant energy of the place, and the warm smiles from the staff made us feel right at home. We settled into large, comfortable chairs, and I appreciated the well-designed layout of the restaurant, which felt inviting and lively rather than empty. The walls featured impressive urban art and large murals, including several well-known historical Mexican paintings along the bar. To the left of the entrance, there were smaller tables and cozy coffee tables, perfect for anyone looking to unwind after a long day or catch up with friends over a drink. The dim, romantic lighting and carefully curated music created a captivating atmosphere that made it hard not to dance and get lost in the beauty of the place—truly a unique experience. As for the menu, my date and I were quite impressed. Although we were tempted to try several dishes, we ultimately decided to share the creamy dessert, saving other options for our next visit. The elegant white bowl showcased Abuelita's chocolate pudding, topped with a light berry sauce and freshly picked blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries. If you’re not into rich desserts, I recommend trying the blood orange panna cotta made with local Riverside oranges—it was delicious, although I couldn't finish mine. This restaurant embodies the ideal recipe for success in the culinary world: fresh ingredients, a unique character, a zest for life in the space, and good architecture. I truly believe this place has it all. I can't wait to return! The service was also fantastic! That is Mexican eating on another level. Do not have to go west la or the valley to get seriously delicious next-gen flavors. they are here in riverside. big wee from mexiko are an additional bonus. everything we tasted was delicious and I can rarely say that over a restaurant. if nancy is her server, the experience is even better.

Okay, this review is long overdue. Not because I didn't want to write it, but because I didn't know how to put in words, how grateful I am elvia placita restaurant riverside. this is my experience with placita restaurant. if it's a restaurant/bar-buyout, we wouldn't have found a better place for the 21st birthday of our daughter. placita restaurant is a great place. I mean, eating is top-notch. it is fine eating in a total kickback atmosphere. the drinks are amazing, they are not only approved instagram, but the taste is something they must try for themselves in any case. not many local bars/restaurants could bring these things to the point. they get an experience through the whole taste of the drinks and taste of the food. I can't say enough about this hidden gem. but more so, the people who possess and lead placita! I'll bring you back a little. we had planned this surprise party for several months, maybe even years. it was a decision that we made when she concluded in 2020 that we all go (with our means) that is, it was very difficult to find a place. there were many nice people out there, but the places they offered did not work on one or other wise. there is a lot of ridiculous about expensive underestimated places or not in the position to have the amount of people, do many of the things we wanted, and or had so many wise on time, music, bring outside eating, etc. I was almost at my end when I had sent a message on a laune placita restaurant. I've never been to the restaurant or heard of it. it was an online flyer that I happen to see on the look for others. I get a call back I believe on the same day and the next thing they know I meet elvia. Now here I am, sitting with her and not sure that she will hear my heart or if I could even hear my own heart, my words. Crazy, as that sounds, it will be tiresome if they try to pull something out for someone they are interested in, and other people do not know this person therefore they do not care. as many people wanted only the money. Anyway, return to my meeting with elvia, here we are two women, mothers, think they will try to come to an agreement for a party in their restaurant. first I didn't know if we were going to the net. but by sharing a few of my ideas and both of us chopping it up, sharing how much mother has just clicked, something happened during our conversation. I knew that was the place. I knew absolutely that elvia was the right woman for the job. You know, if you felt that everything was in order? Maybe there was no specific word they could express, but they just know? I found it in Elvia. She made it easy for me. If I can be honest, I don't give control over everything. it's a fight for me. but suddenly I did not feel the need to control everything. I trusted her, I trust her, and I would go back to her. she has made a fantastic job, the whole personal. her absolutely wonderful cook, her brilliant bartender. I absolutely love how they treated us and took care of everything. I mean everything, from eating, drinking to the balloons, piñata, decorated and clean up and so much more. they were crazy about amazing bullshit. from or first they sit down until the day of the party, elvia and I met at least once or twice the week. during this time I grew up to really like and admire this woman. my daughter means to me the world, and although there are many mothers in this world, not very many understand that they will go to any length for their child. that is both good and badly lol all that aside, for me feel the strong over elvia and placita restaurant. it means that I tell them they are amazing and they will take care of them as they are family.

I have been wanting to eat here for a while. The food was inexpensive, and the portions were worth the cost. The drinks. The drinks were the best they have some very fun choices and it looks like a full bar. We went for brunch on a Sunday and it was low-key the ambiance was nice and the service was great
