Really nice people, can't do enough with their service and food is
Steves diner is what it is. The food was good, service was adequate. Server was friendly. I havent been there in 20 years or so, but i enjoyed my breakfast without anyone bothering me. I would actually start going back there occasionally. Its been years since ive had the hot chicken sandwich with peas and fries. I always did like that one.
If you come to see the Tidal Bore you have to walk across the street to Steve's Dinner. A must see and a must eatery!
My lovely wife Pat and I finally took the opportunity to dine at this intriguing 50/60's style restaurant. We both enjoyed the ambiance throughout.Invited to pick a seat our request for a booth was readily acknowledged. Our waitress was kind enough to point out that the juke box was not currently working. Overhead piped in music of the era was enough for the two of us.Service was prompt. Each of our meals included soup which both Pat and I thoroughly enjoyed. Fresh, warmed buns were served along with softened butter on the side, was a nice touch to our soup.We both enjoyed our main meals which followed the completion of our soups. Each time our waitress checked on our opinions of the provided bowls/plates of food. Neither of us found any fault. Our waitress did not mind my walking around to check out the bottom floor (not overly busy at the odd time of day we choose to eat). Made sure to get pictures to mate with this review.I choose to have dessert on this rare occasion (prebirthday celebration). No complaints with the lemon merengue pie I devoured.High recommendations for this style of eatery. We both look forward to a return visit.PS. Did not notice, until I'd added the photos to my review, that we were not charged for the pie. Will be sure to stop by tomorrow and pay.
