We were deciding between halo-halo and ice cream when my sister and I spotted a kiosk that caught our eye. My brother-in-law ordered a salted caramel milkshake, my brother went for a banana split, and I chose a Mocha Crumble. The banana split was a delightful treat with customizable flavors like chocolate, vanilla, and ube. The Mocha Crumble had a rich mocha taste that took me back to my childhood in every bite. The preparation of these sweets was transparent and exciting to watch. Although there was an occasional salty taste, it didn't detract from the overall flavor. My brother-in-law found the Salted Caramel milkshake a bit too salty at first, but after stirring, the balance of flavors was just right. The ambiance was relaxing, and the prices were fair for the tasty treats we enjoyed.
After receiving Babe's x-ray results, we decided to treat ourselves at Robinson's Manila. Not feeling overly hungry, we opted to try out the newly opened Magnolia Island. Despite it being their soft opening, not all items were available. We ended up getting a strawberry cheesecake milkshake, tsoknut milkshake, and a ham and cheese ciabatta panini. The panini stole our hearts with its delicious taste, although it was quite filling. The unique flavors of the milkshakes were a pleasant surprise compared to our usual choices. Overall, it was a great experience and worth the money. We plan to return and try out more items, but the panini will remain our top choice.
