Americano Steak House - Roan Mountain

This place was phenomenal! The meats were top notch and cooked to order perfectly. The entrees we chose were fantastic as were the desserts. I highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant!

I have to say we were quite disappointed with our dinner. The Marsala Sirloin was lacking in flavor. The Gumbo special was tasty, but the rice in the dish was undercooked in the center. We also shared a mixed salad before our main course, and it was fine, but we weren't given plates for it. Our server mentioned that she didn't think we would want dessert after such a big meal. Overall, we won’t be rushing back, and I wouldn't consider this dinner a positive experience.

It was the off-season—no vibrant autumn leaves and no snow—but the lack of crowds made it even more enjoyable. The food and service were top-notch, and the staff had a wonderfully welcoming attitude. We’ll definitely return.

A few years ago, I discovered AMERICONA while camping at Roan Mountain State Park. Now, we travel from Jonesborough every month to enjoy their prime rib on Thursdays. We've brought many guests with us, and they all agree, it's the best prime rib they've ever had. Troy does an excellent job running this restaurant.

First timers at Americano. We have had many people tell us about the awesome food at Americano. They were not exaggerating! Hostess (with the mostess! was very friendly and seated us in a corner booth. And our waitress, Bonnie, was friendly, accommodating, and loves the same wine as I do did I say they have an awesome wine list??? The special was prime rib and it did not disappoint sides of garlic mashed potatoes and green beans hit the spot! We will definitely be back oh so good! Americano's ambience was amazing , people smiling, laughing and having a good time. The employees could not be better. Lovely evening thank you Americano ??????
