The Grub Hub - Roanoke Rapids

Today, my meal at the restaurant was disappointing. The chicken I ordered was overcooked and tasted old. It was also missing the buffalo sauce that I had expected. On the bright side, the server with the mohawk was very attractive. However, her customer service skills were lacking. Overall, it was a bad experience.

The customer service at this restaurant was terrible. We ordered around $60 worth of food on the night of 3/25/22 at around 7:45 PM and were told our order would be ready in 20-25 minutes. However, we didn't receive our order until 8:15 PM, and it looked like it had been sitting out for a while and was no longer fresh. They even had the audacity to suggest we come back another time to eat.

This restaurant is a hidden gem with a friendly and welcoming staff. My friend and I shared an order of buffalo wings and lemon pepper wings, which were hot, fresh, and delicious. The sweet potato jack was like a sweet potato cake in a baked bag, and I have no regrets about ordering it on a whim. We enjoyed our meal at one of their picnic tables on a beautiful day, and I was pleasantly surprised to try fried corn on the cob – it was simply delicious. Overall, it was a top-notch dining experience that I won't forget. I travel through Roanoke Rapids frequently and will definitely be stopping by for their wings next time.

I used to enjoy coming here when they actually cared, now a days they are getting lazy and falling off. A lot of times they’re not open during regular scheduled hours too. Went just tonight and got two hotdogs with onions, mustard and cheese. . .which must’ve been thrown in the microwave cause I swear it was up and ready in 4 mins flat. Cheese on the hotdogs was cold as ice and the hotdogs didn’t taste fresh. Fries were okay. Banana pudding was also a miss. I hope they get it together, used to be my go to spot.

Fantastic service. Great location with ample parking. My 9 year old loved the chicken wings (better than all the other fried chicken people). The Bourbon Buffalo wings might have been the best sauce I’ve ever had. Prices are just right. You can find great better food made with real heart if you stray away from the interstate and main drag and head down to the Hub.
