Bamyan Afghan Cuisine - Roanoke

I had a fantastic dining experience with delicious food, attentive service, and a truly exotic atmosphere. The background music playing on the TV added to the overall ambiance. As shown in the picture, I had a generous portion of lamb kabob served with rice and naan. The photo captures only a quarter of the meat, but there was still a lot of rice left on my plate. The salad and dressing were delightful, and I left with a newfound appreciation for Afghan culture

Great prices and the food is outstanding. The place is small, but it has a warm and inviting atmosphere. We ordered all the appetizers along with a main dish to share, and we still had half of it leftover to take home!

The food is delicious and the service is exceptional. You can't go wrong with this charming family-run restaurant.

! FABULOUS! Fabulous, fabulous food and service! Comfortable, very clean restaurant and bathrooms and I loved the decor. A very authentic place. Try thier teas; we had saffron and green tea chai. Excellent!

Went for lunch for a first time visit. Had the buffet. Knew it would somewhat similar to India but different. Our server described the food as being between Middle Eastern and Indian. Was not disappointed. Had three salt shakers on table. The third one had a spice that server said would go well with salad and dish like potato pancakes. Excellent advice. Menu looked to be very many items and good descriptions. Look forward to a dinner soon. Truely a new gem on a block with other non-American dining choices.
