Olde Brook Inn - Roaring Brook Township

We have been coming here for YEARS for the food and service. Also the location and atmosphere. We are always sure to make reservations due to seating preference, wait time, etc. that being said- tonight was a deal breaker and we will not be returning to OBI any time soon, if at all. I called and made a reservation request for 6 people, on the patio. I was assured 7pm was a good time for us, since they had another large party reserved for 6:30. After arriving, our table wasn’t ready for another 40 minutes. Another couple that came in after us had also made reservations and waited. We were taken to our seats where the water glasses were already filled- two with melted ice, which appeared to be left from the previous party. My water glass had dry lipstick from a previous guest. We were served a bread(? basket which was extremely stale and burnt. I believe it had onion seasoning of some sort on top. We waited another 15 minutes for drinks and our server to come over. I again received a glass with lipstick on the rim for my wine. We waited so long for the waitress to come take our food order, that my fiancée walked to the bar himself to ask for a new glass of wine for me. My soup appetizer was forgotten, even through two others in our party received theirs (exact same soup . The OBI house salad was overwhelmed with onions and pizza was burnt. I’m so disappointed because OBI has such a wonderful setting and atmosphere. It’s always been a family favorite but I feel they take on more than they can cater to.

We were a table of 5 celebrating a birthday. It took 2.5 hours for over priced, small portions of food. My water was refilled once in the 2.5 hrs my wife’s soda and water were not refilled at all.
