We ordered Soup A Sandwich £6.99) for 2 of the group. The 'Cream of Vegetable ' soup was bland and could only be improved by the addition of a large amount of salt. The Cheese Pickle sandwich was on bread which seemed to have been dried out. We asked for drinks to be brought with the meals as we have found in the past that drinks are brought well in advance of the food. THIS time, we were almost at the end of our meal when the drinks came. No apology. Food is overpriced and poor quality in my experience will be looking for somewhere else in future.
We have been to the Seasons several times over the past couple of years and it has been fine. This time it was poor. I had a prawn sandwich and chips.. for the price you pay you should expect decent bread not some dry thin sliced cheap bread. No butter and a few prawns. The jacket potato was not a lot better, overcooked and burnt. Cheap chips ... overall very poor. Drinks were fine.
Today. My husband, sister and I took our 90 year old mother out of her care home to Seasons for lunch. A trip she was looking forward to as it's a place she enjoys going. Due to failing health she seldom gets out. We ordered teas coffees and three lunches at £7.99 each. As mum eats very little there was no way she would eat a big meal so ordered her the fish goujons and chips from the junior menu that came with ice cream at £4.99. When the waitress brought the meals over we were told we should not have ordered the meal as it's only for children under 12. Even thought she could see mum was very fragile and sat in a wheelchair. We were just about to order more drinks and desserts when a waitress came to collect the empty plates. Mum asked about the ice cream she ordered and was told she couldn't have it as we shouldn't have ordered the meal!! She was very disappointed. I was upset that we wanted to have an enjoyable meal with mum which was spoiled. Would it really be such a big deal to bend the rules to give a customer a good experience and let her have an ice cream? We never ordered the drinks and desserts and left. I will not be going again. I work in a service industry and bend the rules of it means a customer leaves happy. Clearly not at Seasons.
