Mario's Homemade Pasta Kitchen

We both started with the salad bar, which I thought was a fantastic idea for busy times; it allowed us to enjoy a selection of traditional greens, macaroni salads, and breads while we waited. For our main courses, we ordered the chicken parmigiana and carbonara, both featuring homemade pasta. The chicken parmigiana was cooked to perfection! It’s definitely my favorite in the Rochester area, even better than what I remember from the old Mario's location. I can’t wait to return, and we’re so glad to have Mario's back!

A must-visit in the Rochester area! This restaurant serves a delightful weekend brunch and is situated right on Irondequoit Bay, providing a beautiful outdoor seating space. During the spring and fall, the outdoor area is enclosed and heated for your comfort. I highly recommend trying the pasta here as well. Plus, there's an ice cream shop on-site, making it a perfect spot for kids to enjoy a treat after a delicious meal!

We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant, thanks to our wonderful server, Bethany! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, striking a perfect balance without being overly fancy. I ordered the calamari, which was absolutely delicious and offered a generous portion for the price. My husband chose the chicken Alfredo with broccoli, which he rated a 3 out of 5 mainly because it had a mild flavor—just grilled chicken with a fairly standard Alfredo sauce. I had the NY strip steak, which was cooked well and quite tasty. Overall, we loved the ambiance and Bethany's exceptional service, even though she seemed to be battling a cough throughout the night. She truly was fantastic!

Very good food and atmosphere. A little strange that bread is not included for the table and only with the additional affordable salad bar. Gnocchi with meat sauce was great. Salad bar had simple but good choice. Breadsticks were a bit dry and bland, but the herbal rolls were fresh and delicious.

All the pasta is homemade and pretty good. They have a nice salad, soup, and bread bar. The service was excellent and definitely worth the visit.
