We were a particular fan of their hidden meatball and felt it could only be better if it was, hilariously, hidden beneath a pile of Pasta. Their bakery pizza was also very good. Everything was great
The food and drinks here are delicious!! Also a very cute atmosphere inside. They don't take reservations so I would try to arrive earlier on weekends to avoid waiting for a table. They also won't seat you unless all members of your party are there. My group did ask if we could be seated in a different location instead of where we were seated and they did not accommodate the request even with another table available.
Good food and great service. I gave it 3 stars because it was loud to sit down and eat, also tables are very close to eachother. But overall, nice vibes.
Go to Vern. the staff is amazing, the cocktails are some of the best we had and the eating delicious. the hostess was kind and courteous, she took our name when we waited for the other two in our party (they only sit them when their whole party arrives as fyi, completely understandable! she let us sit immediately and was a warm, welcoming light fire! our waitress was a jewel, she was creepy, clever, attentive and charming! the bartenders are so talented! my fiancée asked for a wing it drinks with gin, flowery and zitrus the jasmine they have made was delicious, well balanced and stunning! we ordered the pasta special, a few pizzas, the tomato cake and garlic. everything was well cooked and delicious! the Pasta-Special was particularly delicious! when we left the staff, the whole thing was good-bye and was so happy and wonderful. can't wait to come back!
Tldr: go to eat at dinner. also a few drinks at Vern’s. not skip the desert. you will not regret it. this place was a past on my list. I think it was the only member of the swan family of restaurants to which I have not managed to do it until today. directly on the flea mouse we were greeted by an extremely friendly hostess who offered us a table. we decided to sit on the bar instead. the bartender jordan immediately took with and came right past, although most of the seats were full of patrons. he was very friendly and very knowledgeable about all drinks and food, which was helpful as it was our first time. the menu consisted of a few specialty entrees, pizzas, plates and desserts. the selection was not overly extensive, but each product was so unique that I could recommend this place to every picky meal and they would find something to please their palate. we ordered the broken burrata; a creamy, chewing salate, with citrus fruits, a kind of delicious vinaiigrette, greens and spicy granola. freaking delicious. our second dish was the orange pizza. Don't let the name fool you. no zitrus on this. it was an art curry cream-based sauce with red wobble and chilies. makes you flashy amazing. these are thin Neapolitan style pizzas with a good amount of char on the crust. tons taste. for dessert we went for the passion obst ingwer panna cotta, and a white cake with a kind of pomegranate conservation. perfect balance of creamy, sweet and tart with the panna cotta. the sponge of the white cake was perfectly moist and was a great accompaniment to the tender jam of the granatapfels. we also ordered four different cocktails between us. all were perfectly balanced new flavor combinations for both of us, and we had a lot of cocktails to house and around the city. I can't tell them how much we enjoyed our first time at Vern. we will definitely be back for the friendly service, the fantastic barkeepers, the amazing eating and the excellent cocktails.
