What 's the point in publishing your opening times online, if you are going to close 10 minutes early this lunchtime? Should have been open until 2pm, but was closed at 1.50pm. The guy who was there spent time unloading his BMW when he should have been frying fish and chips. Addition after owner 's reply: The first rule of business is that you own your mistakes, admit when things go wrong, otherwise customers get fed up, vote with their feet, and go elsewhere. When you lie, you 'll be found out and you did NOT close at 13:58, the closed sign was on the door much earlier than that. If your CCTV system told you that the time was 13:58, you need to invest in a better system. What you have to realise is that the RDS systems in cars don 't get the time wrong. They are intelligent enough to adjust, even for the changes when the clocks go forward and back. As for your xenophobic comment about Chinese just wow! As I returned to the car after approaching the shop, your worker slipped across the road to his BMW 5 Series and got items out of the boot pillows and stuff. He got back to the shop before 13:55. You crow on about how you aren 't making any money just think by staying open until the proper time, you could have sold an additional plaice and chips for two people. It 's a shame, because your fish and chips are the best around, and I drive across town just to get to you. This complaint could have been dealt with so much better, instead of lying, you could have just 'fessed up, apologised that your worker closed the shop earlier than the published times and I would have respect for you for doing that as an owner. After all, you can 't have your eyes everywhere and sometimes your staff let you down. Sure it was an awful day for weather, it was pouring with rain and perhaps you hadn 't had many customers because of that, however, you missed an opportunity to sell in the last few days of trading. Learn from it. And yes, please share the CCTV footage. I don 't think it 'll be me that will be left embarrassed. I 'll be in on Thursday lunchtime to view it. Great service. Guy that served me was very polite and kind , chips nailed it as always definitely worth the money and 100% would travel from anywhere in the country just to have some of there amazing chips would highly recommend they also put the perfect amount of salt and vinegar on chips

I saw a positive comment about the ribs, so I thought I would try them. They're cracking value for money at £11, and you get a full rack that are beautifully cooked and tender. The sauce is really tasty and the smell from the bag was making me really hungry on the drive home from the shop. I've spoken before about how brilliant the chips are and this visit no exception. I travel 10 miles to get to Chris' because the food is the best around. Friendly staff, and every order is cooked to order resulting in piping hot food and the best flavour.
