Pop's Place - Rockaway

Got all the feel of a roadside stand. Great food and nice people. Sliders, hot dogs, chicken, fries, shakes...

Fun little roadside spot. Came here for the hot dogs and they did not disappoint. Hot onions are a must have. Got a regular dog, Texas and a Chicago dog. The Texas dog was the star of the show. Super balanced and just the right amount of messy. The Chicago dog had a bit too much bread for me. Seemed like it was put on a long roll and it was kind of hard. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and the food came out quick. Glad I stopped in and got their special of getting the third dog free after buying two.

Update 6 months later and you guys just keep getting better and better. Truley and amazing spot.Really good and the people there are super nice ! Texas all the way fries are so good!

Recently moved to the area and Pop 's Place came up on a NJ Sandwich Joint Facebook Group I am in. I decided to stop by yesterday morning to pick up their Pops Breakfast Bomb for myself and my brothers. What a breakfast sandwich it is, perfect ratio of meat, egg and cheese. The brioche might be the best part, perfect vehicle to carry everything on this sandwich. I met the owner Jerry, who was very kind, and offered me a cup of coffee while I waited for my food.I decided to swing back again today to try their hot dogs and a cheese slider. As expected, equally as good as their breakfast! Ran into Jerry again who remembered me and said hello. The places you can go into and get that type of exchange and experience are dwindling. Not to mention, it 's very reasonably priced compared to similar options in the area. Pop 's Place is a great spot and I couldn 't recommend it enough!
