Taco John's - Rockford

This is the first time I have been here in several years; things have come a long way. The drive thru menu is not the easiest to navigate; as all the other reviews suggest, a large Potato Ole should be mandatory. As far as it being better than Taco Bell, that is a matter of opinion (much like McDonalds vs. Burger King), but this location is on the right track on the road of improvement.

My husband, sister, and I went and we are from FL. Taco Johns closed in FL so we were thrilled to find one in IL. We LOVE the potato oles and the food was good, but unfortunately service was super slow and chaotic from the front to the back of the restaurant. Customers were even asking for refunds and orders were not correct. Hopefully, staff are in training!!!

Normally their tacos are really good. But after getting a $50 order yesterday, we found that their tacos were really stale and did not taste good. Fortunately the potato oles were good so that saved the meal. We also found we were missing tacos, so we had to turn around and go back. I'm sorry to say that the staff weren't welcoming at all. I work in fast food, I would get in trouble if I acted the way they did. The whole experience was a let down. Bummer :

Staff very rude ordered in drive thru and they gave me the wrong drink. When I went inside to get the correct drink, the African American female was very rude and yelled at me telling me the lobby is closed. When I explained why I was there, rather than apologizing, she continued to be rude to me.

Customer service sucks, food is terrible. Mask are forced. No one at the front counter when you walk in. SSLOWWWWWWW service. Food was not good at all, taste like soap, I will never return.
