Feedback gevenThe atmosphere, drinks, and food were fantastic! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. However, the phone reservation system that allows you to leave a message isn’t very reliable. Despite that, the staff did a great job accommodating us on the spot.
This is the best restaurant in Rockport and rivals the finest places on Cape Ann. The staff is friendly and attentive, making your dining experience enjoyable. When there is live music, it's always excellent and at a comfortable volume that allows for conversation. An added advantage is the well-stocked bar, with bartenders who are skilled at crafting delicious cocktails.
I've been there for the past couple of weekends, and I have to say the service is outstanding and the food is fantastic. We enjoy sitting at the bar and striking up conversations with different people. Overall, it's always a fun night with great food!
The food was delicious and the staff seemed friendly except for our waitress Carol who preformed one of the most distasteful acts I have ever witnessed. My sister and I were out with our 90 year old grandmother who has Alzheimer's. My grandmother insisted on paying so when she did she made an honest mistake and didn't tip to the proper 20% as is custom. I noticed that and was going to give Carol the proper tip on the way out the door as I did not want to embarrass my grandmother. Instead of getting the receipt after we had left the restaurant Carol came and took it prematurely. She returned a few seconds later to confront my grandmother about the lack of tip. As someone who has Alzheimer's she was very confused by the whole situation and very embarrassed. As someone who has served in the service industry I have never thought of preforming such a distasteful act or heard of anyone doing such a thing. I would recommend proper training as this was the lowest of the lows to be preformed in a place of service.
However, instead of waiting for us to leave, Carol came over and took the receipt prematurely. She then returned moments later to confront my grandmother about the missing tip. This was particularly upsetting for my grandmother, who, due to her Alzheimer's, was understandably confused and embarrassed by the situation. Having worked in the service industry myself, I've never considered or heard of anyone behaving in such an unprofessional manner. I believe some proper training is in order, as this incident was truly unacceptable in a customer service environment.
