We moved to Rockville last September and have eaten several times. Do not let the inconvenient appearance of the place fool you. But if you are looking for frou-frou decor and/or fine porcelain and crystal, this is not for you. It's just home, family style cooking. The food was always delicious and cheap, and the staff was always friendly and accommodating. Because food is cooked wood fire, you can smell the delicious aroma before you even get there! We would definitely recommend Al Carbon and we will often go back.

I never had a less than great meal there! Our family is big in meat, and I'm pretty sure, over the years we have tried exactly everything on the menu. The Papusas are a good way to start, but the Carne Asada is my way to escape. The shares are HUGE and the prices are relatively cheap. Go hungry and ready to try new things and you will not be disappointed!
