San Remo [gluten Free]

Amazing!!! There aren't many gluten-free friendly restaurants around here with so many options. They even provided gluten-free bread for the table. My photos aren’t the best because I was too eager to dive in. Everything was clearly marked with a little gluten-free flag, which made me feel even better knowing there was no risk of cross-contamination. We tried the gluten-free gnocchi with vodka sauce, the eggplant parmesan, and the table bread, which was fantastic! It's hard to find good bread, especially at restaurants that offer it for the table. Additionally, the service was excellent! The staff was incredibly friendly, and they checked on us just the right amount. My glass was always full! I will definitely be coming back!

I want to extend my gratitude to the entire staff at San Remo, especially Omar, for their exceptional service during our daughter's baptism! Our guests were amazed by the abundance of delicious food and drinks, as well as the attentiveness of the staff. I highly recommend San Remo for any upcoming event, or even just for lunch or dinner. You won't be disappointed!

The gluten-free food was tasty, but I experienced cross-contamination and ended up feeling very sick the next morning, which was not how I wanted to spend my last day of vacation. I haven't felt that unwell in years. Additionally, the prices were quite high, and my friends and I even saw a rat running under a table. When I mentioned it to the staff, they seemed unfazed, which was concerning. If you have a gluten intolerance, I advise being very cautious about dining here. On my next trip to New York, I will definitely avoid this restaurant.

Based on what I'd heard, I expected San Remo to be outstanding, both food and service. It was not. It was just mediocre Italian food, that is WAY over priced. We had at least 4 different servers. Seemed no one wed had had a solid knowledge of wine. One server seemed like she didn't even want to be there. She told us the specials so fast and had a thick Hispanic accent, so we had no clue what they were. None of our servers checked on us until we were almost finished eating. No offer of cheese, pepper, etc. All pasta is homade? No, not what I ate. With so much competition in RVC this would not be a place I would return too. Disappointing.
