Gumbo was tasteless. Pulled pork was more like a ground pork and just taste like vinegar. The worst brisket I ever tried, dry, overcooked.waiting time for the food about 40 minutes. Never again. I don’t recommend this restaurant at all. Waste of money

The food was amazing and the customer service was great they were all super nice and I would recommend this place to anyone in the area.

The atmosphere is nice and the customer service was great very personable. The food not so much. It's probably just a preference thing, but not too tasty all the same. I had the ribs, brisket, wings, macaroni cheese, yams none of the 5 items did I eat in its entirety and none of it would be ordered again. The ribs had potential, but they use a distasteful sauce on all of their meats yuck! : I was hoping that the sweet potato pie would redeem them, because I really wanted to like the place, they were so nice. First of all, it was served warm I'm not a fan. Then it was just ok tasting. Nothing horrible, I just would not eat there again. I do know that bbq flavoring can taste different depending on where you're accustomed to eating and I'm from the east cost DMV, if your further north stay clear.

The first time we were there for dinner and had the pleasure of being attended to by Fran. She was very welcoming and took the time to describe dishes we asked about and suggest dishes based on what we said our likes were. My husband had a 3 meat platter with each tasting equally delicious. The ribs were fall off the bone with just the best flavor and the brisket tender smoked to perfection. Last he had the sausage and I wish I could say I got to taste it but it was gone before I could blink so I know he loved it. The sides are to die for the Mac n cheese is perfectly cheesy and creamy with edges that cooked perfectly and the potatoes au gratin were excellent again creamy and flavorful. I'm a stickler for hot food being served hot and yes it was all right out the oven. I had the delicious smoked brisket and all I'm going to say is yumm with their delicious coleslaw crunchy, creamy flavorful goodness and baked in muffin tin corn bread. My only complaint is that the cornbread is delicious and should be served in huge square pieces yes I want to get messy with it and find little crumbles in the sauces on the plate. The portions are more than enough and you most certainly will go home with a to go container. Decided to get our son a treat and brought him back the smoked wings wow, wow ,wow who knew wings could be that good . I know he enjoyed them because all I could hear was lips smacking and mmm sounds. He too agreed the corn bread is fabulous and the portion leaves you wanting more. So again my only complaint is that corn bread is so good it should be served in larger helpings. The next time we were there was for lunch our sons suggestion based on the wings we came home with. I had the brisket philly on bread that melted in my mouth with again tender pieces of brisket yummyness. My side was a huge portion of fries that were perfectly crunchy on the outside while being hot and soft on the inside perfect once again. My husband had the crab cakes overflowing with nice size clumps of delicious crab in the best flavored well seasoned filling. When everything is spectacular how do you choose a stand out, answer you don't . My son had the black bean burger you can taste the vegetables deliciously seasoned firm enough to hold together and yet soft enough to taste individual veggies perfect. Everything taste just made just for you perfect. Vegetarian options: The black bean burger is very well made perfectly seasoned. Parking: Depending on the time of day you might get a closer spot. In the evening we found ourselves having to park further back with a wee bit of a walk. Wheelchair accessibility: There is definitely enough room between tables to comfortably get around and there are accommodations with a view.

Service, ambiance, and waiters were amazing. The food was not what I expected. I am a big foodie and was expecting more flavors. I ordered wings, ribs, yams, and Mac. My husband had the salmon. Very bland but amazing customer service. Everyone has an off day so I will go back and try new items. The yams were very different, they had a citrus flavor to them that some may like, I wanted more of a candied yam. The bread pudding was the best part of dinner hands down. Again I’ll go back to try something else. Just needed more flavor.
