Feedback gevenWow, I hesitated to write a wholly negative review but was shocked to see how so many others had the same experience. Very rude , even when deciding. They tried to upsell 2 times (it's just ice cream! And got the order wrong. They tried to force me to take the wrong order, it wasn't even ready, they had filled three orders behind me in the meantime. Luckily I hadn't paid yet. The older lady insulted me thinking I didn't understand her language. They had half the order done, so I did pay and get the right order eventually. This establishment should lose its license, it is surely breaking the franchise agreement. Highly recommend the same chain literally every where else.
The staff here are miserable and rude. The older lady that is the owner/manager in particular. AMA members get a discount at all Marble Slab locations. I was paying for ice cream for my son and my wife’s name is on the AMA card, not mine. This lady would not apply the discount for me because it’s my wife’s card and not mine. In fact, her whole attitude changed the second I asked for the AMA discount. I had to call my wife and have her come from the other side of the food court to pay for the ice cream (with my credit card) so that this nasty woman would apply the discount. They also claim that they have no child sizes even though all other locations do, and force you to buy a small. I will never patronize this place again.
I’m one of those people who tries to look for the good in people but this is just too much. We stopped by on a Friday night as a treat to my young child. I spoke to the young girl taking orders and placed an order for a child’s size ice cream in a dish, no cone. She attempted to upsell me to a small, which I declined as I knew it would be wasted. I firmly stated again “Just a child size, that’s all.” We received the ice cream and proceeded to the till, where an elderly lady was waiting for us. She rang it and in told me it would be just over $8. I corrected her that it was a child size and should be priced accordingly, and she said “It’s a small.” I noted that I had ordered a smaller size and she argued that there was too much ice cream for a child’s size, and again told me it was $8. I explained it wasn’t my responsibility to ensure accuracy as I wasn’t scooping it, and the girl who made it called out it was a child’s size. This woman refused to listen, and stated “Don’t be cheap. It’s a small, and it’s $8.” At that point I told her that she was trying to rip me off and she said I was the one ripping her off. I told her that I didn’t want it and she could throw it away, and she argued I had to take it. I ended up walking away. It’s obviously a trend there (read the reviews), and nobody seems to care.
Marble is one of my favorite places to eat ice cream, but in this location especially, the owner is rude and grumpy, they always put less in any size, she throws things at you and answers you in a very bad way, today was the worst visit, please avoid having a bad experience when buying here I will never come back
My friend and I were in line to get ice cream. A ladie with three young kids was ahead of us. The two older kids (under age 8 for sure) both had waffle cones. The boy who was about 4 was holding his cone while mom paid. Just after she paid the cone broke in half and top half fell on the floor. The mom tried to talk with staff and they told her they would not replace it without her paying again. My friend also tried sticking up for the mom and they tried saying mom had bought it elsewhere and was trying to get a freebie. They offered the mom a cup to put the dropped ice cream in and gave her a spoon! They refused to do anything. Manager also refused. So unprofessional and unkind. Do NOT go to this location. They don’t care and I was overcharged for what I got. It wasn’t even that good.
