Trattoria Dell'amicizia - Roddino

Don’t miss Tattoria dell’Amicizia if you go to Langhe. The last night of our trip we had dinner with our friends and all of us decided to go for the big menu that represented the best dishes EUR 30! . We all ended up saying that we will remember this dinner for the rest of our lives. I almost lost count but believe it was ten dishes with the dessert! All is homemade and cooked with local ingredients. For example we had a starter with cheese and a bit of marmalade. They were going to cook this marmalade the next day for the year to come. The ravioli was the best we had during our week in Langhe, and we tried a great number of restaurants. After four hours some of us were not able to finish our desserts. So if you go there save some space for the home made nut cake with chocolate sabayon! They also have an excellent selection of local wine. Everything is served by Nicoletta who is so absolutely charming and kind. I will tell all my friends who are traveling to Langhe that they have to stop in Roddino and eat at this trattoria.

Very good representation of typical food of the region. We had the fixed price menu with course after course of great food. No menu for this, they just keep bringing courses and asking if you care for some. This wasn't the best meal we had in the area but it was very, very good and we recommend it. The roasted red and yellow peppers were divine and the tiny spinach ravioli in butter sage sauce was my favorite. We left here late, it was after 1030pm and it was quite dark. We had no cell service so got quite lost driving back to our agriturismo. Be warned that cell service is limited and you may not want to rely on mapquest to get you home!

My wife and I were looking for lunch, but we learned that after 3pm and before 730p, many places are closed or serve minimal things. Luckily we stumbled upon this place and met the owner. The place was empty, but she asked us what were in the mood for. She whipped up a pasta ragu dish and a tortellini with sage and butter sauce. That food was inhaled in record time. The lady came out, saw our empty bowls, and laughed. The food was SOOO good. Then we tried our luck at dessert. We made a request and sure enough she made it in a few minutes. It was a like a thick hot chocolate or thinner chocolate pudding.. but warm!! Of course we came here again two days later for dinner. The owner was pleased to see us again. We ordered the sage butter pasta as an appetizer and then tried a couple meat dishes. We also had a veggie dish. Everything was perfectly prepared and juicy. My wife and I drool to this day just thinking about that place. Prices are good too! I can't wait to go back!!

Una piacevole sorpresa. Volevamo andare in un ristorante di lusso, ma se non prenoti mesi in anticipo. abbiamo optato per il trattore dell'amicizia: scelta più che giusta. Locale nella media, servizio più che valido, cibo al top. Davvero fantastico sotto tutti gli aspetti. Sarà la prossima meta quando torneremo qui. Grazie.
