Ladurée - Roissy-en-France

A great time of pleasure before taking the plane.

When in Rome we are supposed to do as the Romans... When in Paris one must buy Macarons! While our only interaction with this delightful little macaron establishment was in an airport, it solidifies our love for the place. As we found that Macarons do not tend to travel particularly well, we felt it necessary to get this little colorful heavenly delights as close to our departure time as possible. Within the Paris airport, they were no less than three of these kiosks, all of which had a spectacular number of different options for purchase. I believe there were 21 different flavors of Macarons including black sesame and Marie Antoinnette tea. Quite a delicious array of options! As with most things in Paris, they definitely were not giving these away. As with everything at the airport, these were a little bit more expensive than they probably would've been otherwise. End of the day, they were a worthwhile investment for family and a great gift back home, a short 10 hour flight away. This was literally the perfect place to get the gift that we wanted for a large number of folks back home and I highly recommend you stop in!

Was so happy to find a Laduree in the CDG airport in Paris! What a treat after a long flight to be able to indulge in some of the best macrons around! They had a great selection and they always have such unique tasty flavors. Knocking off a star as while the staff was friendly they did exude a little bit of snobby attitude and could have been friendlier. Who knows though maybe the customer before me was cranky or something but was still a little bit of a bummer. Not a reason to not pop by on your next layover though. ;

I've never had worse service in my life. I NEVER don't leave a tip, but this was the first time I didn't tip. We were there on our honeymoon for tea time and the server left for an hour smoke break, took another 37 minutes to bring us our bill, didn't put rose petals in my tea as the menu described, gave us a bag of crumpled up macarons (tea time that day came with 2 Laduree anniversary macarons) that were supposed to come in a gift box but he gave it to us in a crumpled up paper bag, and not the cute bags they have either. He had zero orients with us when we asked about a tea sandwich. Also, teat time has limited options for tea sandwiches but if you look at the a la carte menu all the sandwiches cost the same, so all should have been available options to us. There was a mom and daughter sitting next to us who had not even been greeted, let alone an order taken, for 45 minutes and still had not been greeted by the time we left. The food was okay at best. Laduree has become only a commercialized place in which people only go to take pictures. I'm not sure if it's because we're American or what, but we spoke in French to the server and had our order ready when he came to our table so I know we did not slow him down. I wish I'd gotten his name but we will absolutely never purchase anything laduree ever again. I grew up loving their macarons and my bridal shower was laduree themed so coming to this one in pros was a lifelong dream but this server ruined it for me. I would leave no stars if possible.

Got some macarons in Paris airport as a gift for family; they had 15 unique flavors and I made sure to get one of each flavor. Wished they provided some labels/tags as some macarons ended up tasting very similar. Texture was 10/10: hard (slight crunch) on outside and chewy/soft in the center
