Four of us dined at Leaf 's Restaurant last Sunday for lunch to celebrate a birthday. We sat in the lounge where we enjoyed a pre-lunch drink prior to moving to the restaurant area. Ordering our meals a little later when we were seated was straightforward as all of us chose the Roast Beef set menu, which is accompanied with a drink of your choice. Within a few minutes our food was brought to the table. Piping hot succulent slices of freshly carved roast beef, roast potatoes, stuffing an enormous Yorkshire Pudding . Fresh vegetables were brought in a separate dish in order that we could help ourselves. The two ladies in our party had difficulty finishing their beef, so our waitress kindly wrapped the remaining slices in foil in order that we could take it home for our dog. Only one of us chose a sweet from the dessert menu that was the friend who was celebrating her birthday. Very nicely presented Profiteroles were brought to the table with an accompanying candle our waitress, ourselves other guests sang happy birthday. Upon finishing our meal, the bill for the four of us including our pre-lunch drinks was around €45 which we considered excellent value. We were genuinely thanked for our custom would have no hesitation visiting Leaf 's for Sunday lunch again in the future.
After reading some of these reviews I’m wondering if there are two restaurants called Leafs out there? I’m talking Avenida Del Mar Pueblo Bravo. The place is shabby and looks tired. A friend booked us for a Sunday lunch dinner, well that’s the only choice on a Sunday apparently.. . The meal looked like something out of a horror movie ...a plate with gravy roast potatoes and 3 thin slices of very overdone beef topped off with a massive Yorkshire pudding that tasted really dried up too . Veg was ok apart from the potatoes they were hard and burnt . I had to explain to my Norwegian partner what it was that the English loved about the Sunday Lunch....It was embarrassing. Will never go back there again .
