I wanted to share my recent experience and interaction with the store manager, Gracie, at Chipotle. Yesterday, I picked up my lunch order from Chipotle, and when I returned to my workplace, I noticed that the chips I had ordered were missing from my order. To address this issue, I decided to call the restaurant and request a refund for the missing chips over the phone. To my surprise, I was informed that I would need to return to the restaurant in person to obtain the refund. This was unexpected, especially for a partial refund of less than $6, but I had no choice but to return to the restaurant.Upon entering the restaurant, I politely greeted the manager and reiterated our prior phone conversation to refresh her memory. However, I was met with a lack of sincerity and a sense of irritation. Gracie reiterated that providing a refund over the phone was against Chipotle 's policy, even if she wanted to assist me. I expressed my understanding of the policy and then inquired whether my food could be remade due to its cold condition as a result of the back-and-forth trips. Unfortunately, my request was immediately rejected, with the explanation that my food couldn 't be remade because it had left the restaurant, and I hadn 't reported any issues with it at the time.I explained that my concern was the cold temperature of the food, which made it no longer enjoyable due to the need to travel back to the restaurant to get a refund for chips I had never received. Throughout our entire exchange, Gracie 's tone and demeanor appeared somewhat aggressive, and she did not offer any apology for the inconvenience.I couldn 't help but feel that this aggression may have been related to my identity as a Black woman. It 's essential to note that I remained respectful throughout the interaction, without raising my voice or displaying any attitude. As a result of her rudeness, I requested a refund and also sought the contact information of the store manager, only to be told, I am the manager. It 's important to clarify that she is an assistant manager and not the store manager.I believe that there is a need for additional customer service training for the staff, and Gracie, in particular, may benefit from training on recognizing and addressing microaggressions. Additionally, I want to emphasize that mistreating people based on their perception of their race is unacceptable. We never know who we may encounter in life, and it 's vital to treat everyone with respect and fairness.
The place was clean and the service was good. My complaint is with the food. I come here once a week and have never had an issue till Friday of this past week. I ordered a bowl to go and the white rice was not cooked fully. It was more Al Dente but not horrible. I asked for Carne Asada and as I looked at the metal container with the CA it looked like it had been there for a good while and was low. I asked if some more was coming out and was told it will be 20 minutes for more to come out. It was 530pm.....why is there not a fresh one coming out already It is rush hour dinner time on a Friday! And there were 4 to 5 people behind me. This was just unacceptable to me so I got chicken instead and it was dry. I will still come here but please just do better!!!
Fresh food clean restaurant. All the workers were dressed in Mario character Halloween costumes today were very friendly! Great location and delicious quesadillas. ?
Honestly, Due to inflation, Burrito Bowls were grossly overpriced just as they were. But now that you guys have decided to cut rice and bean portions in half too, this place has become an absolute joke. It’s not like you guys were were generous with the protein to begin with. IM DONE.
