Auntie Anne's - Rolling Prairie

Auntie Anne's is not typically anyone's top choice or favorite dining spot, and it's certainly not a contender for any accolades. However, if you find yourself in a bind, this place might just satisfy your hunger. Last Monday, while driving from Chicago to Buffalo, I stopped at a rest area to refuel both my car and myself. I opted for Auntie Anne's because there was a short line, and I had recently developed a craving for soft pretzels. I ordered a blue raspberry lemonade and a pretzel, and soon enough, I was back on the road enjoying an entirely average pretzel and sipping on a surprisingly tasty blue raspberry lemonade that really hit the spot. This establishment is straightforward and, on this occasion, it fulfilled my needs perfectly. So, if you're sitting there hungry and wondering whether to approach the counter after reading this Yelp review, go for it. They'll do the job.

Terrible experience. We inquired about using our Auntie Anne's app coupon, and the staff member initially said it was okay. However, it turned out we couldn’t use it after all. By then, we had already redeemed the coupon, which was set to expire in just 90 minutes, so it felt like a complete waste. When we spoke to the manager, he dismissed our concerns and suggested it was our issue, implying we should have tried the pretzel first. Out of principle, we chose to leave.

Cash only due to a malfunctioning credit card machine.

I just spent over $8 on mini pretzel dogs, and I ended up tossing them out for the animals. They must have been sitting out all day because they were as tough as leather. I won't be coming back again.

The entire staff seemed unprofessional and indifferent, almost as if they didn’t care because their parents are still financially supporting them. If they aren’t interested in doing their jobs, they should step aside for someone who actually wants to work. This experience was disappointing, and I’ve never encountered such poor service at an Auntie Anne’s before. I will be reaching out to corporate about this.
