Al Cavallino Bianco - Roma

Nice personel. No music.. don 't order meet or pasta here. Vegetables and fish are fine . Ordered a pepper stake from a picture. Steak came without sauce. They pointed me at the menu description con salsa so I guess they where right, but why call it a pepper stake then? :

We stopped here for lunch and were told they weren't doing pizza, which was a shame. We both ordered pasta dishes, which were nice enough. The garlic bread side was stale and flavourless though. The staff's children were running amock throughout he restaurant which was annoying. We didn't notice till we were already seated but there was a tank crammed full of live but listless lobsters which made us sad : Overall we wouldn't go back as there are much nicer, much better value places in the area.

This was our first meal in Rome and we really enjoyed it. The portions are small so ensure you order plentiful! The tiramisu is much recommended.

Sadly only stopped here for a coffee and slice of cake (both of which were delicious and that's coming from a self confessed coffee snob) whilst sight seeing in the area. Wish we would have stayed for more. Great value for great food.
