We were a family group of twelve plus a baby in rom to celebrate a special birthday of my wife. In short, the hotel recommended our party to dinner and we were not disappointed. the owner organized a large table for us. in the center of the restaurant, so we were not even split up. the food was excellent and fresh and contributed to a great occasion for all of us. the personal could not do enough to feed and amuse our 5 grandchildren. definitiw a place to recommend for a family.
Our hotel concierge recommended this place because we liked the restaurant l’orange so much. under a new name, apparently, and perhaps new administration. we had a wonderful dinner here. contemporary as l’orange, in the decoration and food presentation. my wife said her meal, the bark. with 3 pfeffer sauce, maybe the best meal she had in rom. my birne and cheese filled pasta pouches were also delightful and the Dolce desserts were a good end for our last day in rome. very attentive and helpful waitress, and the manager continued to review us, but not intrusive. expensive than l’orange, but not from the line with other Roman restaurants experience. we are inside because it was after sunset and cool, but there is also a large sitting area in the free. for the taste of the new roms in the city part trastevere visit this inviting place.
We were so impressed with this restaurant we went back three times during our visit. A really friendly welcome, superb service and probably the best food in Rome. I would highly recommend this restaurant
We read about Bro in La Stampa, the Italian newspaper, and on our first day in Rome decided to give it a go. Tucked into a corner of Largo A. Toja, a few blocks from Trastevere, it has a modern look entrance and inside it...is contemporary decor. You can order a la carte or a set menu with antipasti from the table, including vitello tonnato, radicchio alla griglia con prosciutto, peperoni arrosto and bufala e pachino. One of us had the antipasti, which were very good. The other had eggplant parmigiana and gamberoni in pastella (battered tiger prawns). The other mains were polletto arosto (baby chicken) con bietole e peperoncino con patate sauté and maltagliati al pesto. To finish we shared a cheese platter with all cheeses from the Lazio region, including marzolino and goat cheese from Tuscia. We sipped Montepulciano Illuminati and Malvasia Dolce of Benanti Winery, mineral water and a coffee. The total bill was 62 Euro. The ambience was warm and distinct, service very professional and amiable. Chiara and Sara thank you very much, we will recommend Bro to anyone going to Rome.
