Eggs were too liquid, and the guanciale not too tasty, maybe overcooked. The vegetables we tasted (puntarelle and artichokes) were excellent. House wine nothing to write home about. In the end a pleasant place with friendly personnel but I would not recommend it as a top carbonara in Rome.
This is the place where we discovered what is all the fuss is about Roman pasta. We shared the mixed cured meat appetizer and ordered the carbonara and the cacio e pepe. Both unreal. With a litre of house white, this came to about 1/3 what a similar (but inferior) meal would cost in Toronto. Must try.
The pizza was super… thin crust, perfect amount of sauce and a lovely spice mix on the marinara pizza. The fettuccine con funghi was also wonderful. Service and ambiance were good. A nice spot in the theatre district.
The first evening in roma looking for a small restaurant with great pleasure I am sitting at a table of michele. clean and bright room the reception of the landlord and in Roman style. Nice and clear. good menu from which we opt for soups as a starter and a rich pasta with delicious rock. second artichokes in judea and baked potatoes. all accompanied by a great white wine of the house. at the end of the michele evening he entertained us briefly and gave a good advice to live roma.
Very good service! eating is beautiful and hot! they are tourist friendly and they accept credit cards
