It is possible to buy the most classic arancini, with meat and sauce, but also more particular and imaginative types, from pistachio to swordfish. However, all of them are really good, every pairing proves to be spot on. Note that the place also sells Sicilian cannoli, filled at the moment, which are also very good. Average prices, made more than convenient by the generosity of the portions.
Excellent Sicilian arancini, in particular the Messina arancini, probably the best that can be found in Rome. Sore point is the price not in line with that with which they are bought in Sicily.
Best arancini in Rome! The delicious arancini and the exquisite Sicilian hospitality of the owners make it a restaurant with counter flakes. There is a huge choice on arancini (their flagship), but the first courses and wonderful Sicilian desserts are also worth trying! Fantastic
Located on a corner of Piazza Regina Margherita, Famulari is a real Sicilian rotisserie in the heart of Rome. Here you will not find pizza, but many different types of sweet and savory arancini (about 20), to be served with stuffed, fried pasta, the classic pidoni (fried or baked stuffed calzones) and a selection of traditional Messina dishes. Prices are very low, around 2.50 euros for a piece of rotisserie (arancino, puff pastry, pidone) and around 5 euros for a hearty hot dish. The offer is excellent, combining abundance of portions with truthfulness and taste: you must absolutely try the arancino of the strait , with swordfish, rice and sauce and the fried pidoni, whose soft and crunchy pata will not fail to satisfy the most demanding. For lovers of strong cuisine, we also recommend the mozzarella in carrozza, among the best in Rome: real bombs of fried white bread stuffed with mozzarella until they burst: asking for a dish is a must! Even the range of first courses and side dishes is excellent, with all that is typical of the Sicilian tradition: pasta alla norma, aubergine parmigiana and caponata. Among the desserts, it is worth trying the balò (small bundles filled with ricotta, nutella or both) and, out of curiosity, the nutella arancino, an unsuccessful combination of rice and nutella inside a crispy fry. The only real drawback of the place is the lack of courtesy of the owners. You will hardly elicit more than a vaguely suspicious look from him and more than once there is the risk of being treated coldly and with a touch of real rudeness. Sin
