From the minute you enter there is this smell that just lingers. The photos are quite well done but the actual place looks outdated and shady. The manger was as shocked to greet us as we were to enter the empty restaurant. Not another souls, the guy was on his phone. We saw his shock and surprise and asked if we were too early to which he asked if we had a booking. Yes we do, we booked online. Anyways we sat down and much to my disgust we ordered. I ordered aloo Gobi and daal and kids wanted paneer tikka masala. Food arrived, the breads all looked great same, butter naan, roti and laccha parantha were all the same. We ordered extra onions as the curry didn’t seem as appetizing. The planner was in just curry and no capsicum and onions as there should be, I asked to which the manager replied that they grind capsicum and onions in the curry. I rested my case there, there was just no point asking. I somehow finished the food, booked a cab to come back to the hotel. While waiting for the cab my husband asked if Thursday is a quite day and he said no it’s just because of the match, but the thing is World Cup watches are on 6 7 not today. I would not recommend this place.
After our arrival in Rome, I with family went first time to this restaurant and since that, We have been 5 times in this restaurant with family and friends. The food is super delicious and especially the Palak Paneer, dal Makhni. Since I am vegetarian but my friends who ate roasted chicken told me that this was so delicious that is beyond comparison. One of my guest who came from Nairobi has appreciated the quality of food and the ambience of the restaurant. The waiter and the service was excellent. Somassa was extra ordinary super!!!!!! we now take home many items time to time.
We went there on a monday night so was very quite, but nonetheless the food was amazing! samosas are a must! we ordered chicken tikka which was perfectly cooked and juicy with a vindaloo which was also amazing the owner was very nice and accomodating and when we finished the chef came out and asked us how our meal was. definitely felt very welcome and at home. must go if in rome!
I eat a lot of Indian food! And this had to be the worst I have ever eaten. Literally. The chicken I ordered was rancid it was 2 3 days gone off and smelled like fish. They use mutton instead of lamb which is disgraceful! And the samosa was like eating cardboard. I am sorry to say, because the staff are very nice, but this is a good review and I have to be honest ... It was a terrible experience! 1/5.
