In the back of the Antica Salumeria, there is a little dining area tucked away where we possibly had some of the best food in Rome. We went twice in 6 days! We got a charcuterie board for two that was decorated with various cuts and cheese, served with a bread basket. There is something about the environment, the intimacy, and the relaxed nature of the staff and other patrons that made us feel so connected to Rome, through this amazing food, charismatic staff and welcoming dining room of a handful of tables. Thank you to Pietro for making our visits memorable.

We found this amazing deli close to the Pantheon. They serve take away panini at the front of the shop which are delicious the best to be found in Rome. Venture further into the store and be delighted by the largest selection of cheese and meats that have been sourced from the best producers around Italy. Our hosts a father and son team treated us a wonderful food adventure for the afternoon in the cheese and wine cellar.

Mi sono ritrovato, si potrebbe dire per caso, in questo locale tipico nella splendida cornice del Pantheon attirato da un magnifica esposizione di salumi, prosciutti e altre mille delizie. Il posto è veramente carino tant’è che pare di tornare indietro nel tempo con un arredamento rustico, tavoli di legno, la già citata esposizione di salumi, formaggi e vino di ogni genere.Il personale è attento e cordiale, potremmo non dire fulmineo quando vi è una grande affluenza di clienti nelle ore di punta ma come ben si sa per mangiare bene, e vi assicuro che da questo posto si esce con le lacrime di gioia se amanti del buon cibo, BISOGNA SAPER ASPETTARE. Per quanto riguarda la mia esperienza, che spero di ripetere, ho avuto modo di degustare parecchi prodotti tipici sotto la guida di membro del personale e devo dire che sono rimasto senza parole per qualità e varietà dei cibo proposto. NOTA CHE GIUSTAMENTE A MOLTI INTERESSA: PREZZI GIUSTI, ricordando che la qualità si paga e per il livello dell’esperienza vissuta non ho problemi a dire che sono pienamente soddisfatto e felice di essermene andato con un guanciale da a spalle. MI SENTO DI CONSIGLIARE QUESTO LOCALE? SI, per aperitivi, merende, pranzo e cena con prodotti tipici quali salumi, formaggi, panini e focacce ricordando però che non è un ristorante ma sostanzialmente una salumeria con, concedetemi il francesismo, i controcazzi della quale sentirò certamente la mancanza.

In una parola pazzesco !!! Per carità arrivati in piazza si resta incantati dalla maestosità del Pantheon ma non so perché il mio sguardo si è posato subito sul locale . A destra dell 'entrata un bancone dove farciscono panini con ogni prelibatezza . Sicuramente troverete coda ,per questo vi suggerisco, se avete tempo di chiedere se all 'interno c 'è posto per sedersi e ordinate il tagliere !!! Un 'alternativa all 'attesa . Merita !!! Una saletta con bancone per il taglio di salumi e formaggi ma resterete incantati da quello che scoprirete sulle pareti e dal soffitto . Locale storico ,anzi antico !!! 600 anni unico proprietario insomma un patrimonio storico !!! Consigliatissimo!!!
