In all sincerity I didn't know what to expect, but thankfully I wasn't disappointed. Unfortunately, I wasn't overcome with immense joy either. It was a very average experience, at least for me. I did enjoy one spinach dish very much but overall it was nothing life changing. I'm not sure if it's just that I'm not used to this type of cuisine, or if it was the way they prepared the food, but I was a bit sick afterward. Again, it could very well be the reaction to a newcomer to Indian food but on the other hand, I have to ask myself if that's normal. The service was fine, but the decor a bit cheesy. The best thing they had was the mango drink! I don't remember what it's called, but it was out of this world delicious, and along with the spinach dish we had, I'd like to learn to make those two things. The meal wasn't a failure at all, and I wouldn't be against going back to this place, but only if there's not much else to choose from. It was quite far out of the way as far as walking from the city. It's in a very small village, and not accessible as far as I know, without a car. The bill was fair considering we ordered five different dishes and four drinks, on top of our bottled water. Again, being a first timer to Indian food, it's really hard for me to say whether this was the crème de la crème of Indian cuisine, or if it was just a close cousin. Overall though, if you like Indian food and have the ability to drive out there, it's a friendly enough establishment to give it a try.
I love the food and atmosphere here! Coming from Canada I thought the food was outstanding!!! I couldn't get enough so I ended up eating there everyday! Excellent service I'd say! Will refer it to all my friends back I'm canada it would be a shame to miss out on such great food!
