Gondola Pizza - Rome

Three days ago, my wife and I visited Gondola to enjoy some pizza, only to discover that a part of their pizza oven was broken. They sincerely apologized and offered us anything else from the menu. I opted for the Shrimp and Linguine in White Clam Sauce, while my wife chose a Grilled Chicken Salad. Both dishes were absolutely perfect! Our server was kind enough to offer us a discount to use when we returned for pizza. Fast forward to today... We decided to return and ordered their House Pizza. It was truly the best pizza we have ever had! At 60 years old, I can confidently say it was the best I’ve ever eaten! At the end of our meal, we shared our thoughts about how much we enjoyed it. True to their word, they offered us a 50% discount on our meal. To our surprise, the owner overheard our enthusiastic comments and approached the register, giving us our entire meal for free! She mentioned that it made her happy to know someone enjoyed her food so much, especially after she couldn’t serve us pizza just three days prior due to a technical issue. We felt incredibly special and grateful for such wonderful treatment. I highly recommend visiting this family-owned Italian grill, which offers a fantastic selection of high-quality dishes. The BEST spanakopita I've ever had! We were visiting our son, who attends Berry College, and decided to try this restaurant after finding it online. At first, we were a little hesitant since the place was quite empty. However, our server quickly put us at ease with her friendliness and patience as we asked numerous questions about the menu. We ended up ordering pizza, while our son chose the beef tips. My husband, who is a self-proclaimed pizza snob, declared it was just as good as the pizza he remembers from New York! It was fantastic! Although we did experience a long wait, we enjoyed the time catching up with our son, and they provided homemade dough bread with sauce for dipping while we waited. The pizza was part of a buy-one-get-one promotion, so for under $50, we fed all of us with delicious food, and our son even got a pizza to take home for later! We will definitely be back.

This is a fantastic restaurant with an amazing atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is excellent too!

I have Celiac and it is great they have gluten free options. Food was great and they have great service.
