Jack's - Rome

Located away from other fast food locations in West Rome, I was hopeful that this place would offer a better experience. What I found was a quick and efficient drive-thru with friendly staff. I visited this establishment twice in the past two weeks, and for the first time, my food was hot and fresh. The second visit was on a busy Friday night, yet I was still served quickly. At the window, we were informed that the chicken fillets for our sandwiches were still cooking, but we had the option to wait or switch to chicken fingers. We chose to wait. At other places, I often expect that waiting will mean getting cold food, but at Jack's, my fries were just as hot and crispy as if we hadn’t waited at all! Jack's definitely has it all, and we will be returning soon!

Update: Over a month has passed since my review, and absolutely nothing has changed! Maybe Jack's should update the photo of their biscuits and gravy to reflect the lack of sausage. It seems they can’t train their employees to prepare it properly. Please double-check your order before leaving. I feel sorry for the sweet lady taking orders; she must be embarrassed to work with such incompetent staff. I sincerely hope she finds a better job elsewhere.

I paid $14 for two burgers and two servings of fries à la carte, but since the soda machine was out of order, I ended up taking only one serving of fries home with me. We also wanted some fried cakes, but were told it would take 20 minutes to prepare them. It's frustrating when items on the menu aren't readily available, so it would be better to remove them if they can’t be served promptly.

I ordered a breakfast package, bacon, no cheese. When I opened my bag, was it a cold wrap with a piece of bacon broken in half and a cold piece of cheese?. wasn't even heated! At this point I looked at my receipt, and it was ordered as no egg, according to MY mistake not to look at the reception when it was given to me BUT it was not yet edible except the bacon. I'll also say I'm here for a cup of ice, but I should order something instead of asking for a free cup of ice. I didn't know to order a cookie because it was hard as rocks at more than one occasion. Don't go to Jack's on Shorter Ave until they can get together! Not sure?

I usually enjoy Jacks due to several reasons although this last time has me thinking twice about ever going back. To summarize the 40 minute wait as a walk in customer and still not getting what I ordered and paid for (without a return of any of my money . To say the least, I ordered 1 . 2: 2pc chicken dinners w/green beans and mashed potatoes w/gravy. *Upcharge: 1 was white meat. 2. Child's cheeseburger meal. 3. Extra side of large french fries. ?40 minutes later I received... 1 box of 2 pieces of chicken thighs, french fries and 1 biscuit. A childs hamburger plain with fries. All for a grand total of ?$26.52??? I'm probably not ever going back.
