Sunflour Community Bakery - Rome

What a charming little place! My mom and I decided to drop by on a whim this morning, and I'm so glad we did. Finally, a restaurant in Rome that offers a variety of vegan options—cheese, butter, desserts, soups—for both breakfast and lunch! Everything is fresh, delicious, and homemade. The chili is exceptional! We each grabbed a loaf of sourdough to take home. The service was fantastic, and it was delightful to sit outside in the sun, surrounded by beautiful plants and lovely herb flower bouquets on each well-spaced table. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area—if you don’t, you’ll regret it! I can’t wait to return and fill up my bread reward card! Thank you for being a wonderful addition to the community!

I completely understand why this place has a perfect 5-star rating! It's the most charming little spot in all of Rome, and the staff is absolutely amazing! I'm so glad we stumbled upon their delicious treats at our favorite coffee shop nearby and decided to follow our foodie instincts across the bridge! They have a whole shelf filled with gluten-free pastries, and I’ve tried every single one! They are incredibly tasty! This is my favorite bakery south of Nashville!

The bakery is located on a corner with convenient parallel street parking. As of February 26th, they now have outdoor heated seating, takeout, and curbside pickup available, and they require masks indoors (yay!). We enjoyed a vegan sandwich loaded with toppings (minus mustard), avocado toast, a full breakfast, a non-vegan sandwich, vegan chili, and several delightful bakery items, including some tempting vegan apricot bars. Everything was fantastic, and we’re excited to sample their appealing pastries soon. My photos don’t do these treats justice! The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality offered. If they ever add tofu to the menu, I will be utterly delighted! Overall, Sunflour is a wonderful, community-focused bakery and café. I plan to visit every time I'm in Rome, and I highly recommend you check it out too! A big thank you to everyone at Sunflour!

We visited this incredible bakery this morning We walked down from a great location for a hotel, Marriott Courtyard, Riverwalk. The owner and all staff were incredibly friendly. The cinnamon smell beckoned us. Then the French pressed fresh coffee, free range eggs, homemade warm wheat toast and stone ground local grits made for a beyond delicious breakfast! There was also fresh fruit with Greek yogurt that was divine. Even our grandson could not stop eating thehomemade bread and muffins. We highly recommend this wonderful bakery with a staff and owner who enjoy their customers in a beyond wonderful manner. The Grants

The food here are from farm fresh ingredients when possible and they are sensitive to anyone's food needs! The bread here is made fresh! Gluten free bread needs have to be pre-ordered at least a week in advance. If you'll follow their Facebook and Instagram, they try to keep folks on top of new menu ideas and fresh food options while in stock!
