Bottega Tredici - Rome

Magnificent food and service. Going back here when in Rome again.

My dinner at Bottega Tredici was the best meal I had during my three days in Rome. The crudo appetizer was so delicious and such a creative use of ingredients. And perfect Cacio Pepe. Truly delightful meal.

Bad experience, too much waiting time even with a reservation, they made a mistake in what we ordered and served the dishes at the wrong time, causing my wife to have her food long before me and the entree arrived at the end of the order, good flavors, but bad experience.

First night in Rome, I had many choices and some friends from San Francisco insisted we try this restaurant. After sightseeing all day it was a pleasure to enjoy the 6 course tasting menu. Every bite was better than the next. It was superb and I loved the location and the delicious bottle of Sauvignon.

We came to this place from the recommendation of someone we met on a tour. Please save your money and go elsewhere. The tasting menu is disgusting over salty, over cooked, small portions. Dinner was over 2 hours long, service was poor. My wife was very clearly disgusted by hour two and they started picking up the speed of service. Very snobby, pretentious place that thinks they're better than you. We were absolutely unimpressed and ended up getting gelato after the meal because we were still hungry. The place looked full of tourists. We didn't see anyone who appeared to be local. Don't bother with this place.
