How stupid is your software to seek a review of a restaurant your system knew months ago was, very unfortunately, closed permanently?
This is our 5 or 6th time to Johnny V's and the best by far. It has always been a great time with great food and service. On this occasion, we had out of town friends and my 2 kids. Our waiter (Michael) was excellent (if I could find a way a word to further express our gratitude and satisfaction I would use it). Michael was superb and had great recommendations, was of great help with the kids and having the bar prepare a drink to my specs. The meal was great and the experience was great for us and for our out of town friends who complimented our choice and had great things to say about the meal and the service. Thanks!
The restaurant itself is charming and on lovely Las Olas. We have dined there a few times previously over the years and I must say we were much more impressed at the time than this past visit. For the price, the food was just so-so. $30 for a vegetarian plate, which was only side items (which are $10 each) was ridiculous. Duck was flavorless and over cooked. The whole lobster was a tiny tail. Wine averaged at least $15 a glass for basic vintages. Service was attentive. Doubt we will return with so many other options in same area.
Great place for dinner both outstanding service and exceptional food. The cheese menu offers great variety and the Drunken Goat cheese was very memorable. The entrees we ordered, the bone in pork chop and the NY strip were quality cuts of meat and cooked to perfection. If you can, you might want to split an entrée as the servings are very large. Looking forward to the next time we're in Fort Lauderdale and once again eating at Johnny V.
